This course will provide delegates with the knowledge required to ensure employees within an organisation understand their health and safety responsibilities in the workplace. Who Should Attend? Delegates within an organisation looking to enhance their awareness of working safely responsibilities. Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a knowledge of the essentials of Health and Safety. Course Content This course covers the following: The Law and Your Responsibilities Understanding the moral, legal and financial reasons for working safely Hazards and Risks Understanding what is meant by the terms ‘hazard’ and ‘risk’ and how to identify common hazards faced in the workplace Health & Safety Performance Understanding how to assist employers to improve safety performance in the workplace Environmental & Pollution Management Appreciate the fundamental requirements of effective environmental waste and pollution management Assessment & Certification The process following course completion is as follows; Delegates complete an assignment at the end of the course Trainer marks the assignments within a 2 week deadline. Once marked results are submitted to IOSH Certificates are received from IOSH and are forwarded on to the customer
