Purpose statement:
Technicians are responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining centralised confined space monitoring systems, air trailers, air trolleys, control panels, breathing air apparatus, gas detection equipment, compressors, breathing apparatus airlines, and related equipment.
Their duties include conducting pre-use inspections, deploying equipment on-site, and providing operational support during client turnarounds and plant outages. Technicians ensure operational excellence, safety, and compliance, performing all work in accordance with Total Safety processes, procedures, and manufacturer requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities
QHSE
· To ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, ensure personal health and safety and health and safety of others.
· Participate in Total Safety QHSE & LPS awareness events and contribute to the improvement of the QHSE Management System & LPS.
· Strict adherence to Total Safety Core Values & Behaviours.
· Employee should contact his/her line manager with any concerns regarding any issues, concerns or suggestions for improvement.
Workshop Responsibilities
· Perform inspections, service, calibrations and routine maintenance on the rental & support fleet such as centralised confined space monitoring systems, air trailers, air trolleys, control panels, breathing air apparatus, gas detection equipment, compressors, breathing apparatus airlines and related equipment
· Document and maintain associated inspection, service and maintenance paperwork for all equipment.
· Ensure accurate and effective management of rental assets.
· Ensure accurate and effective management of product spares and consumables.
· Ensure quality of all equipment is maintained and any defects reported immediately.
· Involvement & participation in daily Coordination stewardship meetings.
CCSM On Site Support Responsibilities
· Understanding and compliance with client specific work activity requirements and QHSE requirements.
· Understanding and compliance with project risk assessment and RAMS documentation prior to commencing with work activities.
· Carry out work activities in line with project plans, client requirements and system monitoring requirements.
· Assist as required with the installation, re-deployment and demobilisation of the CCSM system.
· Provide guidance and support to client representatives as required relating to the planning, monitoring and completion of CCSM work activities.
· Involvement & participation in daily shift handover meetings (when deployed to site).
Product & Legislation
· Good understanding of related product & services, including but not restricted to CCSM, ERT, Training, Gas Detection & Fall Arrest product.
· Good understanding of HSE guidelines in respect of Confined Space, Working at Height and associated emergency rescue products and techniques applicable to clients and contractors.
Laise with TS UK Team to ensure that client & project support material is up to date and relevant.
Measurement criteria
· Team feedback and annual appraisals.
· Involvement & participation in daily Coordination stewardship meetings (when office based).
· Involvement & participation in daily shift handover meetings (when deployed to site).
· Compliance with the requirements of the QOHSE & LPS management system.
· Completion of QOHSE training courses as required for the role.
· Completion and submission of TS-F059 - HSEQ Observation Cards.
· Involvement in TS-F600 - Behavioural Safety Observations.
· Involvement & participation in QHSE committee meetings.
·Applying the authority to Stop Work.
· Line manager feedback.
· QHSE & LPS reviews, reporting and audits.
· Competency assessments and observations to confirm work activities conducted in line with applicable processes and client requirements.
· Completion and submission of TS-F059 - HSEQ Observation Cards
· Involvement in TS-F600 - Behavioural Safety Observations.
· Client feedback.
· Adherence to TS-PR175 - CCSM Work Activities Process at all times.
· Post projects debrief/report.
Qualifications and skills
· Good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular. Word and Excel.
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Good knowledge of products and services provided by Total Safety (including use and servicing knowledge.
· Able to work alone or as part of a team
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
Physical and additonal requirements
· The ability to wear PPE correctly for a portion of the working day
· Ability to work in all weather conditions
· Ability to spend a number of hours a day standing to carry out work activities
· Ability to carry out shift work patterns (long working hours, day, and night shifts)
· Ability to work in noisy workplaces (e.g., when working on client sites)
· Ability to work in hazardous environments
· Ability to see and response to dangerous situations
· Ability to carry out manual handling operations
· Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
· Confined space training (desirable)
· Working at heights training (desirable)
· Must hold a full valid driving licence.
